For schools in Tanzania
Becoming a partner school
We choose partner schools in the Arusha region together with the head teacher and the school committee. We look for:
- A public primary or secondary school serving families on low incomes
- A head teacher and committee who will keep simple registers (attendance, meals, books)
- A real need in at least two of our programmes
- Safe access for regular visits
Each partnership is agreed in writing for one school year, with the permission the district education authorities require, then reviewed together. We also work with the local street and village leaders to visit the homes of the children we support.
